September is a great time to build strong attendance habits! Families can help by creating consistent bedtime and morning routines, preparing backpacks the night before and making getting to school on time a priority. Small routines can make a BIG difference!

The 18th Annual Salsa Bowl brings the JFK Rockets and Memorial Minutemen together for another Edgewood battle! Kennedy currently holds the Salsa Bowl trophy — but can the Rockets defend it? Or will the Minutemen reclaim the trophy and the bragging rights?

A heartfelt thank you to our Physical Plant Operations (PPO) employees—our everyday heroes who often work behind the scenes to keep our schools safe, clean, and ready for our students and staff.

Following the recent storm this past weekend, this team has been working tirelessly to clear debris, clean up affected areas, and assess and address the needs around our campuses.

While their work may not always be visible, their dedication is felt across Edgewood ISD. They continue to show up and do what they do best: take care of our schools and our EISD family.

We’re wishing our Memorial High School student teachers a great start as they begin their hands-on teaching experience at Loma Park Elementary!

Assigned to work alongside Loma Park classroom teachers, these future educators will assist with classroom activities, support students, help with daily instruction, and gain valuable firsthand experience in an elementary school setting.
