It was a day of friendly competition, community spirit, and giving back as golfers hit the greens for a great cause!
On Friday, October 9, 2026, the Edgewood Education Foundation welcomed golfers to Willow Springs Golf Course for its annual charity golf tournament. From the first tee-off to the final putt, participants came together to help make a difference in the lives of students and educators across Edgewood ISD.
While 17 teams, made of up 68 golfers, competed for bragging rights on the course, the day's biggest winners were the students and teachers who will benefit from the Foundation's continued investment in education. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, golfers, and community supporters, the tournament raised an impressive $19,000 to support student scholarships and Innovative Teaching Grants.
Funds raised through the tournament help support two important initiatives:
Student Scholarships: Helping Edgewood ISD graduates pursue higher education and take the next steps toward their dreams.
Innovative Teaching Grants: Giving educators resources to bring creative ideas, engaging lessons, and new learning opportunities into their classrooms.
Every sponsorship, registration, and donation helps the Edgewood Education Foundation continue its mission of opening doors and creating opportunities for students and educators.
Beyond the scorecards, the tournament offered an opportunity for local businesses and community supporters to strengthen relationships while investing in the next generation of Edgewood leaders.
An event of this size and success would not be possible without the generosity of the businesses and organizations that believe in the power of education. The Edgewood Education Foundation extends its heartfelt appreciation to Linebarger Attorneys at Law, Cintas, SpawGlass, PaveCon, JCA Law, Brady Plus, Dynamic Systems, G&I Plumbing, BMS CAT, E3 and all our valuable community partners who supported the tournament.
Your partnership does more than support a golf tournament. It helps students pursue their dreams, equips teachers with resources, and strengthens the entire Edgewood ISD community.
We also extend a special thank-you to our volunteers, organizers, and every golfer who participated. Your time, enthusiasm, and generosity helped make this event a success.
“I really enjoy seeing everyone come together, enjoy themselves, and have a great time for a great cause. Our sponsors’ generosity makes this event possible, and the collaboration between the Foundation and Edgewood ISD is what makes it so special,” says Teresa ElHabr with the EEF. “It’s truly a team effort, all focused on creating more opportunities for our students and educators.”
The final putt may have dropped, but the opportunities created through this tournament will continue long after the golfers have left the course. Check out the smiles, swings, and special moments from this year's tournament!
